Caregivers
All of Safe at Home Care caregivers come to us through references by people we trust. In addition, each caregiver personally meets with Ann Girard, the owner of the company, as well as the rest of the office staff. We gauge each caregiver's strengths, experiences, and background. This allows us to place the appropriate caregiver with the appropriate client, ensuring a good match. We truly care that we have the right person in place. Additionally, we maintain records of all our caregivers including their background check, driver's license, auto insurance, as well as any other license they hold.
As independent contractors, our caregivers also keep a much larger majority of their pay. Because of the low overhead costs of running Safe at Home Care, we only take a small percentage. They are compensated better than most, if not all, the area agencies. This enables our caregivers to have a sense of pride in their work. The caregiver is employed directly by each client, making the client/caregiver relationship more palpable.
